Sacrament of Baptism

By Baptism your child becomes a member of the parish community. Through the grace of this sacrament your child will share in the very life of God Himself.

To Arrange your child's Baptism.

 The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated in our Parish every weekend, on Saturdays at 12.00pm and on Sundays at 1.15pm.

Please contact the Parish Office (Tel: 051 421348) to arrange a date .

If you live outside the Parish of New Ross please get a Letter of Permission from your Parish Priest to have your child baptised here.

A Priest of the Parish will contact you a few days prior to the Baptism and arrange a suitable time to meet with you.

Choosing Sponsors.

• The Sponsor should not be less than 16 years of age.
• He/She sould have received the three Sacraments of Christian Initiation - Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.
• He/She should have the maturity and intention to carry out the responsibilities of sponsor.
